 GSC
believes that the best approach to motivating a client
to enter or re-enter the workforce is to identify a job
that is within their physical, cognitive and vocational
capabilities. Utilizing a worker-job matching
philosophy, GSC accomplishes this by interviewing
potential employers to determine what the job requires
and then structuring the employment opportunity to meet
the needs of the client and the employer. GSC prepares
the client for the interview process, creates or updates
their resume, and works to secure any necessary
certificates or information to complete the hiring
process. GSC then works closely with the client and the
employer for 90 days post employment to insure that any
issues or concerns can be addressed and resolved
promptly.
GSC offers the following job
development and placement services:

Helping clients and counselors
select an appropriate vocational goal

Providing clients with job
interview skills training

Resume development on behalf of
clients

Assisting specific client
populations with the completion of applications

Identifying employers in the
community that fit the needs of each client

Meeting with employers to present
clients as candidates for employment

Setting up interviews on behalf
of client

Helping clients research
employers before attending interviews

Creating “carve out”
opportunities for clients to provide individualized
opportunities

Assisting counselors in setting
up on the job training (OJT) programs to provide incentive for employers
to train clients in specialized areas of interest

Presenting employers with
Specialized Employment Options on clients behalf

Providing support and job
coaching up to ninety days for clients once employed
GSC also offers Functional Capacity
Evaluation (FCE) testing, ergonomic assessment services
and traditional therapy services through our contract
with the State of Arizona.
