Post Hire Work Transition Program

To help prevent injuries and unnecessary new employee turnover, The GSC Injury Prevention Specialist teaches employees to perform exercises that focus on proper body mechanics, stability, balance and flexibility. Other exercises are customized for each employee based on specific job requirements. The primary focus of the Post Hire Work Transition program is to teach safe work habits and best known method to perform new job functions and maximum productivity rate. This program is aimed at employees who are:

  • Starting physically demanding jobs that require learning new work postures, positions or techniques
  • Deficit in the post offer agility test for flexibility, strength or endurance
  • Performing jobs that are high risk for frequency or severity of work related injury
  • Unable to successfully transition to physical demands of the new job
